Meet Joe Falcone
Law Enforcement Mortgage Specialist
For more than 20 years, Joe Falcone served the people of New York City as a proud member of the NYPD. Today, he continues his commitment to service by helping police officers and law enforcement families secure home loans with confidence.
A Career in the NYPD
Joe’s law enforcement career began in Manhattan South Tactical Narcotics, where he earned his Detective shield. He went on to spend four years with the 75 Detective Squad in Brooklyn, one of the busiest squads in the country during the early 1990s. His squad investigated more than 100 homicides per year, and Joe personally carried or assisted on hundreds of cases.
One of Joe’s most impactful investigations was a Federal Continuing Enterprise case that closed 32 homicides across Brooklyn North and dismantled a violent drug organization. This led to his assignment with the Brooklyn North Homicide Task Force, where he spent more than a decade investigating homicides, kidnappings, and high-profile violent crimes.
Joe was also cross-assigned as a Hostage Negotiator and Dignitary Protection Detective, specialized assignments reserved for only a small percentage of detectives.
Service on September 11, 2001
Joe was a first responder on 9/11. In the aftermath, he worked at Ground Zero, the city morgue, and later the Staten Island landfill, helping recover and identify victims. Like so many police officers, that day left a lasting mark on his life and reinforced his dedication to serving others.
Life After Retirement from the NYPD
After 20 years of service, Joe retired as a 2nd Grade Detective to focus on raising his son. He went on to:
- Own and operate a successful business
- Serve as an Investigative Consultant for NYC’s Administration for Children’s Services, assisting in child abuse and neglect cases
- Supervise retired detectives in monitoring registered sex offenders under a government contract
Why Joe Serves Police Officers in the Mortgage Industry
Law enforcement is more than a job — it’s a brotherhood and sisterhood. Joe understands the unique challenges officers face: unpredictable schedules, the stresses of the job, and the importance of protecting your family’s future.
That’s why he now dedicates himself to helping police officers and law enforcement families navigate the mortgage process. Whether buying a first home, refinancing, or using home equity to pay down debt, Joe provides guidance from someone who has lived the law enforcement life.
